#obsessed: Top picks from Chanel, Gróa, Marie Lichtenberg, and more
May 13, 2025
This month, #legend is #obsessed with the latest from Chanel, Gróa, Marie Lichtenberg, Dom Pérignon, Louis Vuitton, and Rimowa
Taking chances

After pink, green, yellow and orange, Chanel’s Chance eau de parfum is adding a new colour to its palette with purple –the shade of magic and lightness tinged with mystery and nobility. Chance Eau Splendide blends a sparkling raspberry accord revealing facets of crisp fruit, rose and violet, with an elegant and magnetic floral heart of rose geranium partly grown in the Chanel fields in Grasse. Cedar, white musk and powdery iris round out the sparkling yet rigourous fragrance, which is featured in a new campaign with Belgian singer-songwriter and actress Angèle. Try the full range for yourself at the Chance pop-up at K11 Musea.
Slow and steady

Taking its name from the Old Norse word for “to grow”, Gróa is designed to nurture
what truly matters – eating well, learning deeply and fostering meaningful connections.
The coastal casual eatery and guesthouse, which celebrated its official opening in Repulse Bay last month, offers a thoughtfully crafted menu that pays homage to nature, bold flavours and quality ingredients in an organic and inviting space that provides the perfect backdrop for leisurely brunches, sunset drinks and everything in between. With its unconventional wine list, passionate team and even a cosy book corner, Gróa is a neighbourhood gem in the making.
Art and craft

Drawing from her own experiences, including as a former fashion editor at French Elle, Marie Lichtenberg has redefined contemporary jewellery by blending luxury craftsmanship with profound emotional resonance, symbolism and personal storytelling. Now Lane Crawford ifc mall is showcasing her highly sought-after designs with a dedicated trunk show running until May 11. The event highlights three of Marie Lichtenberg’s iconic collections, including her signature Love Lockets (pictured) inspired by heirlooms passed down from mother to daughter, the talisman-like Scapulars and playful yet luxurious Dado Dice.
Glass acts

In a dazzling display of Dom Pérignon’s unwavering commitment to craftsmanship, time and the art of winemaking, the champagne house’s chef de cave Vincent Chaperon recently visited Hong Kong to unveil its two latest vintages. Born from an exceptionally contrasted year, Dom Pérignon Vintage 2015 is initially dark and tactile then gradually opens with floral, spicy, herbal and fruit impressions. Vintage 2006 Plénitude 2 reconnects with the year 2006, reaching a new era in its expression after seven additional years of maturation. With a remarkable tactile dimension, this embracing yet delicate champagne is an invitation to a moment of joy.
Soft footed

With an aim to conquer functional elegance, Louis Vuitton’s new LV Sneakerina is distinguished by its hybrid design midway between a sneaker and contemporary ballet flats. Each variation has been specially designed for everyday wear to match any casual or dressed- up silhouette, with a flexible Sacchetto sole and ultra-light interior design. While all feature the brand’s signatures such as the Monogram pattern, Monogram canvas and LV Circle, the LV Sneakerina comes in a myriad of materials and vibrant colours including leather, satin and mesh, and fuchsia, forest green, beige, black and white, pink, blue and silver.
Case study

To celebrate its ongoing commitment to German craftsmanship and timeless design, Rimowa recently showcased a curated selection of aluminium pieces and unveiled a special project with local artist Anton Poon. The Art of Specialities highlighted the maison’s dedication to blending functional luxury with expert engineering, presenting iconic creations such as the Rimowa x Gewa Trumpet Case, the Attaché Mahjong, Chess and Poker, as well as the Twelve Bottle Case, One Bottle Case, Watch Case and Original Vanity Case. Poon, known for his innovative style, created an art piece inspired by cases built to carry musical instruments.
