Park Gyu Young joins #legend in Hong Kong for Tiffany & Co.'s Blue Book 2025: Sea of Wonder high jewellery collection launch event
Nothing dazzles quite like a Tiffany & Co. diamond, except perhaps the sight of Park Gyu Young draped in a sleek black strapless dress and an array of diamond- studded Tiffany & Co. high jewellery to celebrate the famed house’s latest Blue Book collection.

#legend had the distinct pleasure of bringing the South Korean actress to Hong Kong as the sole celebrity guest at the Blue Book 2025: Sea of Wonder high jewellery collection launch event last month at The Henderson. It was the collection’s first stop following its global debut at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York.

Park, who is currently wowing audiences in her role as Guard 011 in her second season on Netflix’s Squid Game, has long been a fan of Tiffany & Co., having received one of its heart-shaped pendants as a high-school graduation gift from her parents. This recent visit cemented the brand’s appreciation and admiration in kind, thanks not only to the actress’s professionalism but also her warm and friendly demeanour with VIP guests and media alike.

In fact, Park is one of the most easy-going celebrities #legend has worked with in our decade-long collaborations with world-famous actors, actresses, singers, influencers and more. When she wasn’t posing on the red carpet or sitting for interviews, our January 2025 cover star spent her second-ever visit in Hong Kong enjoying egg tarts and gummy bears.

“The vibe in Hong Kong has always been so unique. I’m fascinated by the city’s architecture,” Park said when asked for her take on the Fragrant Harbour. The Busan native made her acting debut in 2016, quickly transitioning from supporting roles to award-winning lead roles in romantic comedies like A Good Day to Be a Dog, dramas such as Celebrity and thrillers like Sweet Home.

Such versatility earned her praise from fans and critics alike, with Celebrity catapulting her onto the international stage. In the Netflix series, Park plays Seo A-ri in a rags-to-riches story that begins with her as a once-wealthy but now penniless door-to-door make-up saleswoman. She goes on to become a celebrated influencer, then outcast, then revenge mastermind.

In Squid Game, Park has found another complex character in No-eul. A former soldier who has defected from North Korea, No-eul is searching for the daughter she left behind. After toiling away as a mascot at a theme park, she accepts the more lucrative job as one of the faceless, pink-suited shooters on Squid Game island.

Park’s portrayal of No-eul presents a foil to the Front Man’s belief that there is no kindness or benevolence left in humanity, which he sees demonstrated in the game’s universe. Even during the games themselves, No-eul proves herself compassionate, shooting players in the head to put them out of their misery rather than adhering to instructions by higher-ranking officers to keep players on the brink of death in order to harvest their organs.

Besides Squid Game 3, Park recently made a special appearance in the Disney+ mystery thriller Nine Puzzles as a psychiatrist treating a criminal profiler who has been traumatised by her uncle’s death 10 years earlier.

No matter what comes next for Park, we’re sure to see more of her both on and off the screen. “I’ve been to Hong Kong once before, but now I have the opportunity to come here again and it’s been so nice. I hope I can come back again,” she said in Korean at Tiffany & Co.’s Blue Book high jewellery event before switching to fluent English. “Hope to see you soon, Hong Kong!”
