The newly household name Janeyeh Methika Jiranorraphat—the breakout star behind Xiao Yu in Netflix’s critically acclaimed series Mad Unicorn. After years of unwavering dedication to her craft, Janeyeh is finally receiving the global recognition she has long deserved.

Born Ramida Jiranorraphat, Janeyeh is of Thai-Taiwanese descent and has always nurtured big dreams. As a child, she aspired to become a K-pop idol, training rigorously in singing and dancing. She even auditioned for powerhouse Korean labels like JYP Entertainment and YG Entertainment. Although she didn’t make it past the final rounds, Janeyeh never lost sight of her dream to make it in the entertainment industry.

A pivotal moment came in 2014, when she participated in the Miss Teen Thailand pageant and earned the title of second runner-up. This opened doors for her to pursue acting full-time—and she seized the opportunity with both hands.

Over the years, Janeyeh steadily built her portfolio with a string of diverse roles in popular Thai dramas including Lovesick Season 2, The School, Room Alone 2, Part Time The Series, Med In Love, and Teenage Mom: The Series. Her talent and on-screen charisma quickly set her apart.

In 2019, Janeyeh stepped into the spotlight as a member of SIZZY, a girl group under GMMTV, alongside Ployshompoo Supasap (Jan), Rutricha Phapakithi (Ciize), and Sarunchana Apisamaimongkol (Aye). The group’s single Love Score, featuring Korapat Kirdpan (Nanon), became a fan favorite. However, in October 2024, the group amicably disbanded at the end of their contract, with each member choosing to focus on solo careers. For Janeyeh, the decision was clear—acting remained her true passion.

Her return to the screen has been marked by increasingly complex and varied roles. From her performance as Claire in The Gifted to her lead role as Cake in Oops! Mr. Superstar Hit On Me opposite heartthrob Pong Nawat, and even her chilling turn as antagonist Fay in Beauty Newbie, Janeyeh’s versatility continues to impress both fans and critics alike. But it was her transformative performance in Mad Unicorn that propelled her to international fame, cementing her place as one of the most promising actresses of her generation.

Looking ahead, anticipation is high for her next project—Love Design, a sapphic romantic series in which she stars opposite Kao Supassara Thanachart. The two previously shared the screen in the music video for Just Revenge by KnomJean Kulamas, where their natural chemistry sparked a fan frenzy. Viewers are eagerly awaiting the dynamic and emotional depth they’re expected to bring to this new series.

And for fans curious about her unique name—here’s a delightful tidbit. Contrary to popular belief, Janeyeh isn’t a stylized blend of “Jane” and “Yay.” In truth, “Yeh” is her Chinese surname. Her full Chinese name is Yè Zhēn, and she simply combined her nickname “Jane” with her surname to create the distinctive stage name: Janeyeh.

With talent, perseverance, and a magnetic screen presence, Janeyeh Methika Jiranorraphat is a name we’ll be hearing for a long time—and deservedly so.
