This release not only celebrates the longstanding partnership between TAG Heuer and Gulf, a duo immortalised in the golden era of Le Mans racing, but also coincides with a milestone moment, TAG Heuer becoming the Title Partner of the Formula 1 Grand Prix de Monaco for the very first time.

The origins of this icon date back to 1971, when actor Steve McQueen wore the Monaco in the film Le Mans. Dressed in Gulf racing livery and behind the wheel of the Porsche 917K, McQueen etched the watch into pop culture and motor racing history, making it a beacon of cool both on the track and on screen.

The 2025 edition of the TAG Heuer Monaco Chronograph x Gulf is driven by the brand’s in-house Calibre Heuer 02, offering an impressive 80-hour power reserve and 100 metres of water resistance. With a 39mm case and a vivid blue calfskin strap adorned with contrasting orange stitching, the watch balances contemporary sophistication with heritage cues.

Adding to its rarity, this model is limited to just 971 pieces, honouring the year Le Mans was released. A second version features the powerful Calibre 11 movement and proudly maintains the left-sided crown and square case that defied conventions when the Monaco first launched in 1969. Furthermore, a refined silver sunray dial is framed by the unmistakable blue and orange Gulf stripes, complemented by a white Nomex® strap, the same fire-resistant material used in professional racing suits. For formal occasions, a second strap in blue perforated calfskin leather is included, enhancing its versatility without compromising its bold identity.
