The Vanguard Royal Bauxite features a case crafted from a specially developed anodised aluminium alloy, enhancing both durability and colour vibrancy, hallmarks of the Franck Muller design language. The watch's signature Vanguard tonneau shape is ergonomically curved to sit comfortably on the wrist, effortlessly fusing athletic flair with refined elegance. The skeleton architecture boldly reveals the intricate mechanical artistry within, making every detail part of the visual narrative.
At the heart of the watch lies the in-house hand-wound calibre MVT FM 1740-VS, comprising no fewer than 175 components. It offers an impressive 7-day power reserve and beats at 18,000 vibrations per hour. One of the most distinctive design decisions is the strategic positioning of the balance wheel at 8 o’clock, a placement that deviates from traditional horological conventions, not only enhancing visibility but also reaffirming Franck Muller’s commitment to technical boldness and transparent craftsmanship.
In lieu of a conventional dial, the timepiece showcases beautifully finished aluminium bridges, featuring meticulous hand-decoration such as mirror polishing, anglage, and satin brushing.
