New Marvel movie update: Marvel Studios’ Thunderbolts returns with an extreme experience you can’t miss

The film will be released in cinemas across Thailand on 1 May 2025, but before it hits the big screen, Marvel is hosting a special fan event, the THUNDERBOLTS Not-Superhero Race, from 30 April to 3 May 2025 at Outdoor Square A, CentralWorld, offering an unmissable chance for fans to take part in an epic obstacle challenge inspired by the film.

A Thrilling new entry to the Marvel Cinematic Universe

Marvel Studios’ Thunderbolts redefines the superhero genre by spotlighting a group of rogue anti-heroes unlike any other in the Marvel Universe. The film follows Yelena Belova, Bucky Barnes, Red Guardian, Ghost, Taskmaster, and John Walker, characters who have faced rejection, personal trauma, and lost their sense of purpose, as they are brought together for a dangerous black-ops mission that demands they face their own inner demons.

This highly anticipated film marks the return of beloved MCU actors Florence Pugh, Sebastian Stan, David Harbour, Wyatt Russell, Olga Kurylenko, Hannah John-Kamen, and Julia Louis-Dreyfus in their iconic roles, along with new additions to the MCU: Lewis Pullman, Geraldine Viswanathan, Chris Bauer, and Wendell Edward Pierce. The THUNDERBOLTS Not-Superhero Race is an obstacle course designed to test the strength, agility, and mental grit of its participants. Each challenge is inspired by one of the film’s central characters, pushing contenders beyond their limits.

Seven Challenges, One Epic Experience

The obstacle course features seven unique challenges: Winter Soldier’s Arm Strength: Test upper body power by crossing hanging bars. Ghost’s Rope Obstacle Challenge: Crawl under a web of ropes without touching them.Red Guardian’s Super Strength: Pull a rope to lift a heavy weight to ring a bell. Taskmaster’s Hurdle Run: Sprint and leap over a series of hurdles. U.S. Agent’s Patriotic Push: Flip a large tyre forward until reaching the end. Yelena’s Black Widow Escape: Traverse a suspended rope path across obstacles. And Bob’s Rescue Mission: Navigate through a labyrinth to find the exit.

Participants from all walks of life gave it their all, drawing cheers from fans who packed the event square and added to the electric atmosphere.

Live music to amp up the action

To keep the excitement going, the event also features live mini-concerts from popular Thai bands. On 30 April, LYKN takes the stage; on 1 May, it’s Paradox; and 4 May brings a thrilling performance by Proxie, a perfect soundtrack for a superhero-sized celebration.
